The Gardens at Stephenson Court are beautifully landscaped and are maintained by our gardener who comes once a week to keep them in perfect condition.
Some of the flats and bungalows back onto this garden area with a fountain and seating.
This photo shows one of several areas around the Court where residents can sit and relax quietly.
HILARY'S GARDEN
This area of the garden was redesigned in honour of Hilary Newton, former Chair of the Trustees, on her retirement.
It is a lovely calm space where residents can sit and chat with friends or just relax quietly.
It was named "Hilary's Garden" and was opened by the Mayor and Mayoress on 11th August 2023.
The bungalows have their own front gardens which residents are free to develop themselves. Some of the residents are very keen gardeners and have made their gardens look very pretty.
As well as Roger, who looks after all the landscaping on the site, we have Sharon, the daughter of one of our residents, who comes and keeps Hilary's Garden looking lovely. She also gives residents advice and/or help with their own gardens whenever they need it.
